How to Register Your Warranty

Registering your warranty is one of the most important steps after purchasing a new PC component. It protects your investment, speeds up any future warranty claims, and in some cases extends your coverage beyond the standard period.

Why Register Your Warranty?

  • Faster claims: Registered products are easier to verify, reducing processing time if you ever need a repair or replacement.
  • Extended coverage: Some manufacturers (e.g. ASUS, Corsair, Seasonic) offer extended warranty periods for registered products — sometimes adding 1–2 extra years.
  • Proof of ownership: Registration links the product serial number to your details, which can help if your proof of purchase is lost.
  • Firmware and recall notifications: Manufacturers can contact you directly about important updates or safety recalls.

What You’ll Need

  • Your product’s serial number (found on the box, the product label, or within software/BIOS)
  • Your proof of purchase (order confirmation email or invoice from PC Gear UK)
  • An account on the manufacturer’s website

How to Find Your Serial Number

  • Motherboard: Sticker on the board itself, or visible in BIOS under System Information.
  • GPU: Sticker on the card’s shroud or backplate. Also visible in GPU-Z (free software).
  • CPU: On the retail box or CPU tray packaging.
  • RAM: On the sticker on each stick.
  • SSD: On the label on the drive. Also visible in CrystalDiskInfo (free software).
  • PSU: On the label on the side of the unit.

When to Register

Register as soon as possible after purchase — ideally within 30 days. Some manufacturers require registration within a specific window to qualify for extended warranty benefits.

Keep Your Proof of Purchase

Your PC Gear UK order confirmation email serves as your proof of purchase. Save it to a dedicated folder or print a copy — you’ll need it for any warranty claim.
