Returns & RMA Guide

We want every purchase from PC Gear UK to be exactly what you expected. If something isn’t right — whether it’s a change of mind, a compatibility issue, or a faulty product — this guide explains how our returns and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) process works.

What Is an RMA?

An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) is a reference number that authorises a product to be returned for inspection, repair, or replacement. You must have an RMA number before sending anything back — returns without an RMA may be refused or delayed.

Our Returns Policy at a Glance

  • Faulty / DOA items: Contact us within 30 days for a replacement. After 30 days, faulty items are handled under manufacturer warranty.
  • Incorrect item received: Contact us immediately. We’ll arrange collection and send the correct item.
  • Damaged in transit: Report within 48 hours of delivery with photos. We’ll raise a claim and arrange a replacement.

Step-by-Step Returns Process

  1. Contact us first — email support@pcgear.uk or use our contact form with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for return.
  2. Receive your RMA number — we’ll respond within 1 business day with an RMA number and return instructions.
  3. Package the item securely — use the original packaging where possible. Include all accessories, cables, and manuals. Write your RMA number clearly on the outside of the parcel.
  4. Ship the item back — use a tracked and insured service (Royal Mail Tracked or DPD recommended). You are responsible for the item until it reaches us.
  5. Processing — once received, we inspect the item within 2–3 business days.
  6. Resolution — we’ll issue a replacement, usually within 5 business days of approval.

What to Include in Your Return

  • ✅ The product in original packaging
  • ✅ All accessories, cables, and documentation
  • ✅ Your RMA number written on the outside of the parcel
  • ✅ A note inside with your name, order number, and reason for return

What NOT to Do

  • ❌ Do not send items without an RMA number
  • ❌ Do not use the product box as the outer shipping box
  • ❌ Do not send items with missing accessories

Manufacturer Warranty Returns

For products outside our 30-day window but within the manufacturer’s warranty period, you may need to contact the manufacturer directly.
