ARCTIC MX-7 Ultimate Performance Thermal Paste, 8g Overview The ARCTIC MX-7 is ARCTIC's flagship thermal paste, delivering ultimate thermal performance through an extremely low thermal resistance achieved via a thin bond line. Part of the legendary MX series — a classic in the thermal paste market for over a decade — the MX-7 combines high performance, safe non-electrically conductive formulation, simple application, and long-term durability at a competitive price point. Ideal for CPU and GPU cooler installations. Ultimate Thermal Performance The MX-7 achieves extremely low thermal resistance through its optimised compound formulation and thin bond line characteristics. The high-density 2.9 g/cm³ grey compound with a viscosity of 35,000-38,000 ensures excellent coverage and consistent contact between the heatspreader and cooler base, maximising heat transfer efficiency. Safe & Non-Electrically Conductive The MX-7 is non-electrically conductive with a breakdown voltage of 4,200V, making it completely safe to apply without risk of short circuits even if excess compound spreads beyond the CPU/GPU die. No curing time is required — full performance is achieved immediately upon installation. Wide Operating Temperature Range Rated for operation from -50°C to +250°C, the MX-7 remains stable and effective across all realistic CPU and GPU operating conditions, including extreme overclocking scenarios.
